Routine

How often should you use a scalp tonic?

Most leave-in scalp tonics are used once a day, and night is the usual time. The skin of the scalp renews itself continuously, the way the skin on your face does, so scalp care works as a routine rather than as an occasional event. Follow the frequency on your product's label; it is set by the formula.

Why once a day

Skin is not static. The Cleveland Clinic notes that the epidermis "continuously makes new skin cells" and sheds around 40,000 old ones every day, and that new skin forms roughly every 30 days. On the scalp, that renewal happens under hair, alongside oil from the gland beside each follicle. A product applied once a week is meeting a skin that has changed many times in between. Daily use keeps pace with the skin.

Once a day is also enough. Leave-in scalp care stays on the skin until the next wash; applying it twice a day adds product, not benefit.

Why night

Three reasons. The skin is undisturbed for hours. Nothing is styled on top of it. And by morning the tonic has absorbed, so the routine costs no time in the morning. A daily ritual is also easier to keep than an occasional one; it attaches itself to the end of the day.

Wash days and non-wash days

A scalp tonic is not a substitute for washing and does not change how often you wash. On a wash day, apply it after the hair is clean and no longer dripping. On a non-wash day, apply it to a dry scalp before bed. Either way, once.

If you wash daily, the tonic goes on daily after the wash. If you wash twice a week, the tonic still goes on once a day; it is designed to stay on the skin between washes.

When to use less

Skin can be sensitive. If a new product causes stinging or redness that does not settle, stop, and if it persists, ask a dermatologist. A cool tingle that fades within a minute or two is a sensation, not a signal; persistent discomfort is different, and it is worth a professional's opinion.

Where the Scalp Tonic fits

The Scalp Tonic is used once a day, morning or evening: part, drop, press, not rinsed. Batch 01 comes in a 50 ml dropper bottle. Used as directed, a bottle lasts about 45 days. It varies with how much you actually use.

Questions people ask

Can I use a scalp tonic twice a day?

You can, but a leave-in does not need it. Once a day, pressed in properly, is the routine.

What if I miss a day?

Nothing happens. Pick it up the next day. Consistency over weeks matters more than any single application.

Should I use it every day forever?

Scalp care is like skin care: a routine you keep because the skin feels better with it. There is no course to finish.

Does more often mean faster?

No. The skin takes what it takes. More product on the same skin does not speed anything.
